“Website banwane mein kitna kharcha aayega?” is the first question almost every shop owner, doctor and gym owner in Delhi asks us. The honest answer is that it depends on what you need, but that should not mean you get a vague reply. This guide explains what a small business website in Delhi usually costs in 2026, what you are actually paying for, and how to avoid paying for things you do not need.
The short answer
For a typical small business in India, a website usually costs anywhere from about ₹10,000 for a simple few-page site up to around ₹80,000 for a larger custom business site, and online stores and custom features go higher. On top of that, domain and hosting for a normal WordPress site usually cost a few thousand rupees a year. These are broad market ranges reported by Hostinger’s 2026 India pricing guide; individual quotes in Delhi can fall above or below them.
That is a big range. Where you land in it comes down to a handful of choices.
What actually decides the price
1. Number of pages and sections
A one-page site with your services, photos, reviews, map and a WhatsApp button is the cheapest option, and for many local businesses it is enough. Every extra page (separate service pages, a blog, a gallery, team profiles) adds design and writing time.
2. Template or custom design
A ready-made theme with your logo dropped in is quick and cheap but often looks like every other site. A custom design is built around how your customers decide, so it usually converts better, and it costs more because someone is designing it for you.
3. Features
Basic contact and WhatsApp buttons are simple. Online payments, appointment booking calendars, product catalogues, member logins or multi-language versions each add work. An online store is a different category altogether because of products, payments, shipping and order management.
4. Content and photos
If you provide your own text and good photos, the job is faster. If the designer writes your service descriptions and sources or edits photos, that time is part of the price. Real photos of your shop, clinic or gym almost always work better than stock images.
5. Who builds it
Freelancers are usually cheapest, large agencies the most expensive, and small studios sit in between. What matters more than the label is whether you deal directly with the person building your site and whether they will still answer your calls after launch.
The yearly costs people forget
- Domain name: renewed every year. Make sure it is registered in your name, not the developer’s.
- Hosting: where your website lives. Cheap hosting can make your site slow on mobile.
- Maintenance: plugin updates, backups, security and small text changes. Some studios include this in a monthly plan.
- Business email: optional, but an address like name@yourbusiness.com looks more professional than a Gmail ID.
Five questions to ask before you pay anyone
- Is this a fixed price, and exactly what does it include?
- Will the domain be in my name, and do I own the website files?
- How many rounds of changes are included?
- Who handles hosting, updates and backups after launch, and what does that cost per year?
- Can I see real, live websites you have built, not just mockups?
How to avoid paying for a website you don’t like
The biggest risk is not the price. It is paying an advance and then waiting weeks for a design you do not like. That is why PiximWeb works the other way round: we build a free, working demo of your homepage first, give you a fixed quote with it, and you pay only if you love it. You can see real websites we have built, like AI PC Builders and RO Wholesaler, before deciding anything.
